SIPAT 2026: Mercosul Motores Promotes Awareness on Women's Protection, Digital Dependency, and Psychosocial Risks
From July 20 to 24, Mercosul Motores held its Internal Week for the Prevention of Workplace Accidents (SIPAT). This year's program focused on topics that are highly relevant and widely discussed around the world: women's protection, digital dependency, and psychosocial risks.
Employees and managers actively participated throughout the event, reinforcing the importance of collective engagement in creating a safer, healthier, and more respectful workplace.
The event's theme was chosen through an internal contest among employees. The winning slogan, submitted by Lindonês Kellermann from the Machining Department, was:
"Safety is more than prevention: it means digital balance, respect for women, and caring for mental health."
The slogan reflects the three core pillars of Mercosul Motores' 2026 SIPAT campaign.
In addition to the main discussions, the program provided guidance on the responsibilities of both the company and its employees regarding the recent updates to Regulatory Standard No. 1 (NR-1) and the management of psychosocial risks. Psychologist Patrícia Zimmer contributed valuable insights, helping participants better understand these important topics.
Digital World
The effects of excessive social media use and practical tips for developing healthier digital habits were the focus of a presentation led by educator and speaker Juliani Neves.
Her lecture, "Technology Dependency," explored the consequences of constant hyperconnectivity, including emotional and social challenges, difficulties with face-to-face interactions, low self-esteem, depression, and social isolation.
"We need to focus on prevention and reconnect with our more human side," emphasized the speaker.
Psychosocial Risks and NR-1
On Friday, July 24, psychologist Patrícia Zimmer met with different groups of employees to discuss mental health in the workplace. She addressed conditions such as depression, anxiety, and burnout syndrome, explaining their causes and key differences.
Patrícia also highlighted the recent NR-1 update, emphasizing the importance of identifying psychosocial risks in the workplace, encouraging employees to communicate concerns to leadership, and promoting clear and respectful communication in daily work activities.
Awareness and Team Integration
The program also reinforced the company's commitment to promoting respect for and protection of women by addressing how to recognize different forms of violence, foster a respectful work environment, and raise awareness of available reporting channels.
Another important topic was the value of intergenerational collaboration—combining the experience of seasoned professionals with the energy and fresh ideas of those beginning their careers—to build a safer, more productive workplace.
