Mercosul achieves ISO 14001 certification

Mercosul Motores Elétricos has achieved the ISO 14001 certification, an international standard focused on environmental management. The Organization is certified in ISO 9001 for quality management and is now expanding its management system, integrating environmental control into its industrial operations.

The certification confirms that the company's processes operate under formal criteria for identifying and controlling environmental aspects, complying with applicable legislation, and continuous improvement.

The implementation involved reviewing production processes, structuring environmental controls, and consolidating indicators. The work relied on the direct participation of the integrated system, Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Purchasing, SESMT (Occupational Health and Safety), Environmental Engineering, and Human Resources departments.

With ISO 14001, Mercosul now operates with an integrated management system, raising the company's standard of industrial governance and sustainability.
